comedown 03:36
i’m back inside my head again hi, it’s been a while i’m flipping through old messages wondering how it’s turning out how’s it turning out? i’m trying to build a nest again maybe this time i won’t leave he left me on the bed again i’ll be my own company and i’m always trying to hush up from the inside but now i’m stuck indoors and i miss the kind of quiet that you love like when you’re out of words and i know it’s getting harder in the down time but outside it’s worse listen to your walls come down listen to your walls come down i’m living with the mess again (at least that’s the ideal) i tried to clean up everything now nothing’s real and i’m always trying to hush up from the inside but now i’m stuck indoors and i miss the kind of quiet that you love like when you’re out of words and i know it’s getting harder in the down time but outside it’s worse listen to your walls come down listen to your walls come down

in stride 04:13
who are we to understand what we're supposed to make of it when it's not full, when it's not real yet jumping ship 'cus you're the man everyone is talking 'bout when it's like 2am and you're doing headstands where did you go? and how did you get there so fast without saying goodbye? i was bold i chased and hunted you down just a handful of times if it was love, well maybe i'll take it in stride hints of what it could've been but you were always much too scared and i understand but where did you go? and how did you get there so fast without saying goodbye? i was bold i chased and hunted you down just a handful of times if it was love, well maybe i'll take it in stride take it in stride

off in a daze, lost in a haze my mind again got to be sure i could love anymore if i tried again years spent alone and i've finally started to like myself so you're aware, i invite you to share in my tenderness heartstrings, you've done it again this time, i don't see the end casual hope that you might indulge in my master plan room to revise but let's start with the eyes and just linger there heartstrings, you've done it again this time, i don't see the end you're an exceptional man you're an exceptional man heartstrings, you've done it again this time, i don't see the end

about

This small EP was made with UK producer Julie McLarnon (Lankum, New Order) and friends at a residential analog recording studio nestled in the foothills of the Mourne Mountains, in Northern Ireland. This collection of songs emerges out of a period of ongoing shadow work. It feels like an apology and an outcry at once, baring anger, sadness, and newfound self-love.

Massive gratitude to Julie, Brian and Declan for supporting this project.
